Teacher Training/Education

EHP: BALIK-ESKWELA PROJECT: To extend the support of the future teachers to the young minds in the community, (11) students grantees of Education Honors Program (EHP) and (1) faculty conducted the “Balik-Eskwela Project” outreach last June 15, 2019, at Ponong Integrated School, Ponong, Magarao. With the theme of valuing education through supporting children learning, they were able to conduct educational games that promote the value of education and to provide school supplies to (50) student beneficiaries.

TULONG DUNONG by CCD VOLTZ. In the past six years, the Tulong Dunong Outreach program made San Nicolas Elementary School it’s home. The fifty (50) Center for Community Development student volunteers, alumni, and with the help of the local government of Canaman on May 19-25, 2019. They were able to conduct tutorial sessions on Math, English, Filipino, and Science for (143) student beneficiaries.  Other activities are reading comprehension, Sports Clinic, Alternative Class Program, and Feeding Program.

JPIA Seminar on Financial Literacy & Investment. The Junior Philippines Institute of Accountants-ADNU Chapter (JPIA) in collaboration with the Accounting Department on August 10, 2018, conducted a seminar on Financial Literacy & Investment at the Naga Parochial School Audio Visual Room from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and was attended by (75) Naga Parochial School faculty and Staff. Through the help of their speakers namely, Mr. Darwin Dexter Mitra, a CPA, who discussed “Literate on Financial matters” and Mr. Mico Tolosa who discussed the ” Benefits of Investment they have encouraged their participants by giving them proper knowledge and skill to properly handle their money by saving and by investments.

DigitAL PowerPoint Presentation Training 2018. The Digital Arts League of Ateneo a co-curricular organization with its (12) officers and members in collaboration with The Department of Digital Arts and Computer Animation Faculty conducted a PowerPoint Application training last July 28, 2018, at the Multimedia Laboratory. The topics presented to the (14) beneficiaries are “Designing Effective PowerPoint Presentations” by Mr. Law Paculan, “Color Theory” by Mr. Omar Aguilar, and “Decision in Design” by Mr. John Francis Bozar.

Work Immersion Outreach. On March 2, 2018, the Senior High School Department in partnership with the College of Nursing conducted their Work Immersion Outreach: “Pagalingin ang Nasaktan, Paunlarin ang kinabukasan at kalususgan”. With their goal, student and community development, they were able to use their knowledge and skills to help in the community by administering blood pressure taking, wound cleaning, nail cutting and delousing for the (307) students of Ponong Magarao Integrated School at Ponong, Magarao, Camarines Sur.
