ADNU HOLD KWENTUHANG BAYAN TRAINING AT CARITAS DIOCESE OF LIBMANAN. The Ateneo de Naga University in partnership with the Caritas Diocese of Libmanan in collaboration with the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB), held a “Trainers Training on Kuwentuhang Bayan, Ang Boses ng Mamamayang Babad: The Diocesan Alternative Voters Education Campaign Material” training last March 21, 2019 at SKK-CEFDEV Building, Center for Development and Learning, Sitio Cambaloro, Bahay, Libmanan, Camarines Sur. Fifty-one (51) participants- seminarians, nuns, and barangay representatives attended the event. A whole day activity consisted of three (3) modules; First is “Conscientization”, through a guided contemplation the participants were able to express their disturbances and wishes and were able to understand and be aware of national issues & recognize ones inherent power; Second, on “Engaged citizenship”, wherein the participants through visioning and problem analysis they were able to look into their community’s situation, kind of community they have and the hindrances of their community in achieving its goals. Lastly, “Empowerment”, through action planning and electoral discernment, the participants were able to identify the issue/s they want to address in their community and the actions that they need to take on fulfilling their community’s aspirations.
KUWENTUHANG BAYAN AT BAGUMBAYAN CAMPUS TRAINING. On April 8, 2019, the University Social Involvement Council (USIC) in coordination with the Center for Community Development (CCD), held a Kuwentuhang Bayan at the Multipurpose Room, 3rd Floor James O’Brien Library and participated by (15) Institutional Office, College and SHS Staffs and Faculty. Through Conscientization, Engaged Citizenship and Empowerment, the “Kuwentuhang Bayan” aims to make this as a platform for the participants to voice out their issue/s, claim their aspirations, encourage them to be involved in politics, to be an engaged citizen and continue this voter’s initiative in their communities.
KUWENTUHANG BAYAN AT TRAINING AT OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL PARISH. In collaboration with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, the Ateneo de Naga University through the University Social Involvement Council and Center for Community Development(CCD) held a “Kuwentuhang Bayan” training last May 4 2019, at Mary’s Hall, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Carolina O’Brien Library, with twenty (20) participants attended the event. The training gave the participants a venue to be able to voice out their wishes, look into the different barriers or disturbance that hinder their visions, the right actions, and resources to fulfill their aspirations for their community as a citizen engaged towards empowerment.
