BARANGAY PARTICIPATORY EVALUATION WORKSHOP
On April 16-20, 2017 this evaluation activity was conducted by the Ateneo de Naga University thru the Center for Community Development and the University Social Involvement Council with the Local Government Unit of the 9 partner barangays with its general objective that is to review and assess the impact of the interventions implemented by USIC from year 2013 to 2018. This workshop aims to 1.) Take a closer look at the changes in the lives of the ordinary citizens that were taking place or have taken place because of the planned intervention; 2.) Better appreciate the manner by which the changes were being brought about or realized; 3.) Help local governments and their citizens identify better and doable “new ways of doing things”; and 4.) Assist local governments and their citizens jumpstart collective action from which other larger successful initiatives can grow. This evaluation shall be used for the selection of possible barangays for re-engagement.
RE-ENGAGEMENT WITH PARTNER COMMUNITIES
Approval for Re-engagement with Partner Communities (Canaman, Magarao, and Milaor). The re-engagement with our partner communities was approved by the OIC-University President last October 6, 2017. The partner communities include Barangay San Roque, Fundado and San Nicolas for Canaman, Barangay Casuray, Ponong and Barobayabay for Magarao and Barangay Mayaopayawan, Cabugao and Flordeliz for Milaor respectively.
Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing with the Ateneo Partners Communities. October 19, 2017, the partnership of Ateneo de Naga University with the nine (9) barangays was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signing at the Multi-Purpose Room O’ Brien Library from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. The event was duly officiated by USIC Chairperson Mr. Elmer T. Sto. Domingo, Jr., and participated/represented by the punong barangays of the following nine (9) barangays; for Canaman, Hon. Librado B. Banastao, Jr. of Barangay Fundado, Hon. Leonardo M. Canaveral, Sr. of San Nicolas and Hon. Bernabe A. Trinidad of Barangay San Roque, for Magarao, Hon. Salvador B. Candelaria of Barangay Barobaybay, Hon. Tomas A. Civico of Barangay Casuray and Hon. Bobby M. Abad of Barangay Ponong, and for Milaor, Hon. Amparo R. San Joaquin of Barangay Cabugao, Hon. Roque Vida of Barangay Flordeliz and Hon. Salvacion A. Martinez of Barangay Mayaopayawan.
The council’s composition was announced under University Memorandum 2017-2018-014. Our first regular meeting (41st) for this school year was held July 14, 2017.

HEALTH AND NUTRITION
Community Mirienda. On December 3, 2017 with the help of (8) Faculty, (35) Staff, (7) Admin, (183) Students from the College of Education, College of Engineering, Chaplaincy Office, Univ. Library, Social Science Department, Human Resource Management Office(HRMO), College Guidance Center(CGC), Literature and Language Studies(LLS) Dept., ALA, POEM, SHS, ADC, APEX, GABAY, ABFA, APSA, DWTL-W,PBED/STEP-UP, ACIL were able to conduct story-telling of the life of St. Francis Xavier and feed (2,087) Beneficiaries of 14 barangays Belen Calabanga, Casuray & Barobayabay/Ponong Integrated School of Magarao/ Fundado, San Nicolas, San Francisco Elementary School, Palo, San Roque, San Jose East Calambog Elementary School of Canaman/ Mayaopayawan, Cabugao, Bal-for of Milaor and La Anuncacion, Iriga.
On July 29, 2017, St. Ignatius Day with (61) Faculty, (40) Staff, (10) Admin, (352) Students from Literature and Language Studies Dept.(LLS), SSG, College of Education, College Guidance Center(CGC), Social Science Department, Computer Science Dept., College of Nursing, Uni. Library, Human Resource Management Office(HRMO), Treasurers Office(TO), ABBS, JPIA, UHSC, ECES, DWTL-M&W, AJMA, AYE, Turismo, ROC, CYA, ACIL, ELIHIDOS, APSA, PBED, JABMA, SHS they were able to conduct story-telling and feed (3,007) beneficiaries in 16 barangays (Belen Calabanga, Casuray & Barobayabay/Ponong Integrated School of Magarao/ Fundado, San Nicola, San Francisco Elementary School, Palo, San Roque, San Jose East Calambog Elementary School of Canaman/ Mayaopayawan, Cabugao, Bal-for of Milaor/ La Anuncacion, Iriga/Dominorog, Calabanga and San Jose West Elementary School.
BDRRMG and Personal Hygiene. The College of Nursing with its (6) faculty, (1) staff, (1) administrator and (8) students conducted a discussion on Basic Risk Reduction Management as well as Delousing with 20 beneficiaries at San Nicolas, Canaman last December 3, 2017.
First Aid Training. On December 3, 2017, ACRY with its (1) Administrator and (26) students conducted first aid training and basic life support training at Bagumbayan Norte.
Tree Planting at Del Rosario, Pili. On December 3, 2017, more than (200) seedling where by (1) Faculty, (20) Staff, (1) Admin and (56) students from Office Mission and Identity(OMI), College of Engineering, CCD Voltz, College Registrar’s Office(CRO), MENSA, Computer Studies Department, Philo, XAVIER Dormers M&W, ANBIOM, APO, AFS with MNWD Staff. The same amount of seedlings was planted by (1) Faculty, (32) Staff, (2) Admin and (50) students from College of Engineering, ASSRC, Univ. Student Recruitment Office(USRO), Grad School, College Registrar’s Office(CRO), College of Business Administration Department(CBA), Office of Mission and Identity(OMI), Presidents Office, MIS Office, NOCS Office, DACA Department and APO from last July 29, 2017.
Coastal Clean-up at Cagsao and Belen, Calabanga. On December 3, 2017 with the help of (16) Faculty, (12) Staff, (1Admin and (35) Students from FMC & Accountancy, MIS, DACA Department, AYE, ROC, ABBS, AJMA and JABMA they have collected more than 100 kilos of garbage in the seashore of Cagsao, Calabanga and SHS. On Ignatiana day last July 29,2017 coastal clean-up more than 100 kilos of garbage where collected by the (2) Faculty, (2) Staff, (2) Admin and (101) Students of the Chaplaincy Office, BANHI, Red Cross, AnBiom, APEX, AFS and SHS from the seashores of Belen and Cagsao, Calabanga.
Mangrove Planting at Belen Calabanga. On December 3,2017 (4) Staff, (2) Administrator and (20) Student from NOCS Office, ASEC, CYA and SHS planted 3,500 propagules. The same amount was also planted last July 29, 2017, (14) Faculty, (5) Staff, and (119) Student from Accountancy, Univ. Library, MSS, Gabay, Xavier Dormers and MENSA at Belen, Calabanga.
Lakbay-Antabay Spiritual Formation Outreach. On December 3, 2017 with the help of (4) staff, (1) administrator and (5) student from Campus Ministry Office (CMO) were able to conduct a spiritual formation activity for the Grades 9 &10 students of Ponong Integrated School, Magarao.
Community Outreach. On December 3, 2017, Theology Department conducted their community outreach at Casuray Parish, Magarao.
Triple F: Ignatiana 2017. The Department of Theology with its (8) Faculty, (1) Staff and (16) Students conducted a talk on the 10 qualities or characteristics on the Spirituality of Servant Leadership at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish during the Ignatiana Day, July 29, 2017.
LIVELIHOOD AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Livelihood Activity (Rag Making). On February 16, 2018 the College of Nursing conducted a Rag Making activity at San Nicolas, Canaman, Camarines Sur spearheaded by Ms. Emma N. Intia and Ms. Anabel A. Gomez.
Welfare Development: Tindahan ni Aling ANJE. . On December 3, 2017 with the help of (13) students from USJE, ASBE and ANJE they were able to launch the project under Welfare Development area named Tindahan ni Aling ANJE: The 4th Storey which aims to empower the parents who are financially struggling and can’t afford to buy their children school supplies and through this project they were able to sell quality and durable school supplies that may increase the productivity and learning experience of the students at Gawad Kalinga, Balatas, Naga City and last July 29, 2017 (13) students form Eagles were able to launch and continue the welfare development project that aims to provide affordable school supplies at Balongay, Calabanga.
Work Immersion Outreach. On March 2, 2018, the Senior High School Department in partnership with the College of Nursing conducted their Work Immersion Outreach: “Pagalingin ang Nasaktan, Paunlarin ang kinabukasan at kalususgan”. With their goal, student and community development, they were able to use their knowledge and skills to help in the community by administering blood pressure taking, wound cleaning, nail cutting and delousing for the (307) students of Ponong Magarao Integrated School at Ponong, Magarao, Camarines Sur.
Reverse Caroling. On December 3, 2017 the Senior High School with its (2) Faculty and (26) Students conducted a gift giving to 50 families in Belen, Calabanga during the Xavier Day.
Community Outreach. The ECES (31) students conducted a gift giving activity and reached out to homeless families in Naga City during Xavier Day, December 3. 2017
Media Information Literacy. On July 29, 2017 the MSS with its (4) Faculty, (1) Staff, (1) Admin conducted a talk on Indi, Mainstream and Maindie Films as well as on Film production process to 22 SHS and 3 Teachers from Ponong Integrated School, Magarao
Google Apps for Real-Time Collaboration. The Department of Science with its (8) Faculty, (4) Staff, (2) Administrator and (2) Students conducted a community outreach last December 3, 2017 with SHS student of Ponong Integrated School, Magarao.
Computer Exposure. On July 29, 2017, the ICTC with its (3) Staff, (1) Admin conducted a seminar workshop at ICTC Laboratory with 20 teacher beneficiaries from San Francisco Elementary School, Punong Integrated School, Casuray Elementary School, Mayaopayawan Elementary School, Cabugao Elementary School, Bal-Flor Elementary School and Calambog Elementary School.
Xavier Day Heroes of Fun. The Elihidos with 20 participants conducted their activity at the Naga City Children’s House last December 3,2017.
Bahay Atenista. On December 3, 2017, three houses were constructed to be able to serve as home conducive for raising a family for 3 beneficiaries from (2) San Roque, Canaman and (1) Barobaybay, Magarao with the help of (2) Faculty (16) Staff, (3) Admin, (26) Student from Treasurers Office (TO), College of Engineering, PICE and JPIA.
On July 29, 2017, 4 house were constructed for 4 beneficiaries from (1) San Roque, Canaman, (1) Fundado, Canaman, (1) Barobaybay, Magarao and (1) Casuray, Magarao with help from (3) Faculty (30) Staff, (5) Admin, (115) Student from Treasurers Office (TO), OSA, CSE and PICE.
Ignatiana. On July 29, 2017, in celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius de Loyola, the Ateneo de Naga University held its annual outreach activity with different specified schedules of activity at the nine (9) partner barangays and other selected communities. The activity in collaboration with the University Social Involvement Council (USIC) and Krsitong Hari Foundation, Inc. and organized by the Center for Community Development were participated by a total of one hundred (100) faculty, one hundred sixteen (116) staff, twenty-four (24) administrators, and (772) students participated in the different events. The beneficiaries in a total of three thousand one hundred one (3,121) school children/families/local residents benefited from activities such as community mirienda, tree planting of (200) seedlings, bahay atenitsa, Mangrove planting of (3,500) propagules, coastal clean-up and community outreach with indigenous people at La Anunciacion, Iriga.
Xavier Day. On St. Francis Xavier Day, December 3, 2017, Ateneo de Naga through the collaboration between Center of Community Development and University Social Involvement Council (USIC) and participated by (19) administrators, (50) faculty and (97) staff and (460) students held its annual outreach activities such as Community Mirienda with (2,951) kids fed in 16 barangays, Tree planting wherein (200) seedlings planted in Del Rosario, Pili, Mangrove Planting with (3,500) propagules planted in Belen, Calabanga, Coastal Clean-up of more than 100 kilos garbage collected and 4 houses under the Bahay Atenista Project was constructed.
Policy Establishing the College Social Involvement Fee. Under the University Memorandum 2017-2018-114 dated May 7, 2018, the policy was duly approved by the President, Fr. Robert E.N. Rivera, S.J. This policy will be implemented and shall be included in the miscellaneous fees of all incoming 1st year students starting SY2018-2019.
Proposal Establishing the College Social Involvement Fee. The University Social Involvement Council after a thorough policy formulation of the Proposal Establishing the Social Involvement Fee, last January 17, 2017, the Committee of Administrators (COA) approved and recommended that final revisions shall be for formal approval of Fr. President.
Social Involvement Unit Certification. Upon the recommendation of the University Social Involvement Council, the University President issued University Memorandum No. 2017-2018-001 for the appointment of the new members of the Committee on Social Involvement Unit Certification (CSIUC) for SY2017-2018. The committee shall evaluate the social involvement unit required for ranking, classification of college faculty and non-teaching personnel.

The Committee on Social Involvement Unit (CSIUC) conducted an evaluation of the social involvement activities of the Ateneo Faculty and Non-Teaching Staff for SY2016-2017 wherein one (1) Social involvement unit is required for ranking, classification of college faculty and non-teaching personnel.
The results are as follows;
- One Hundred Thirty-Nine (139) of the Two Hundred Sixty-Three (263) Faculty members have qualified for the certification based on the Rules Implementing the Social Involvement Requirement Process of the College Faculty Ranking and Classification System.
- One Hundred Twenty-One (121) of the One Hundred Seventy (170) Non-Teaching Staff members have qualified for the certification based on the Rules Implementing the Social Involvement Requirement Process of the Staff Ranking, Classification and Promotion System.
