Policies and Guidelines for Authors and Composers

Policies and Guidelines for Authors and Composers:

  1. Authors and composers shall submit a letter of intent, a one page description of the material and the manuscript or recording to the University Press Director.
  2. Authors and composers shall submit a fully accomplished form with the following information:
    1. name of author(s) or composer(s);
    2. proposed titles (3 titles);
    3. target audience or readership;
    4. the projected sales within the first semester, and the sales on the second semester of the school year;
    5. category of the book;
    6. target launch date;
    7. and other pertinent information.
  3. The author or composer shall receive the standard royalty fee of 10% payable every end of the school year, depending on the school year’s sales of the book.
  4. The University Press reserves the right of first refusal relative to works authored by full-time Ateneo employees, and research works funded by the University, such that, only those works which were not accepted by the University Press for publication may be submitted to other publishing companies.
  5. Copyright is reserved to the University Press.
