Accountancy
BS in Accountancy
The Accountancy program is designed to develop competent, compassionate and Christ-centered individuals who intend to pursue careers as Certified Public Accountants. This program integrates a liberal arts foundation with professional field of study in business and accounting. The emphasis is on applied and hands-on training that prepare the student to step into a job immediately upon graduation in commerce and industry, government, not-for-profit organizations, and public accounting or in enterprises as self-employed in Bicol and elsewhere.
The program introduces students to emerging global orientation and innovative practices in accounting and auditing such as International Accounting, Controllership, MIS Economics and Audit and Foreign Exchange. This program allows students to acquire the essential knowledge and skills of accountants, auditors and management consultants or as entrepreneurs. The program prepares the students for the CPA Board Licensure Examination (through its 6 months CPA review.
Allied Business Courses
BS in Business Administration Major in Business Economics
The Business Economics is a 4-year course designed to create graduates, with preferential option for the poor and be responsive to the call of the times, particularly in improving the economic condition of the Bicolanos. The program provides students with a well-balanced foundation in economics and business management. It forms socially responsible professionals who can do, in the context of economic condition/situation, enterprise-building and management, business planning, stock market analysis, corporate planning, management training, business problem solving and consultancy, and market and business research.
BS in Business Administration Major in Business Engineering
The Business Engineering program is a multi-disciplinary 4-year course designed to meet the educational needs of young men and women who aspire to either start their own businesses and become successful Christian techno-preneurs or become corporate leaders in manufacturing environment or in technology-based businesses. The graduates of Business Engineering are expected to contribute significantly to the industrialization of the Bicol Region as the course offers students a combination of classroom instruction and business hands-on that develop their creativity and innovativeness in conceptualizing and commercializing products and designs. It exposes students to businesses and business leaders and allows them to learn from the best of academic thought and business practices.
BS in Tourism major in Development Tourism Management
The Development Tourism Management is a 4-year course designed to create graduates with solid understanding of hospitality industry and its role in the local, national and global economic, social and cultural development. Specifically, it is designed to support the creation, promotion and development of tourism destinations in the Bicol Region as a critical strategy for creating economic activities that involve the greater number of residents in the identified Bicol communities. It provides the students the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills necessary in identifying, developing, promoting, and managing the human, physical and financial resources in an environmentally responsible manner.
The program complements the main thrust of the College of Business and Accountancy towards Entrepreneurship as students are developed to become social entrepreneurs who will endeavor to create businesses and entrepreneurs among the residents in the tourism communities in Bicol Region.
BS in Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship program is a 4-year course designed to help young men and women to become Christian entrepreneurs. This is an applied academic program that requires students to start and manage real businesses before they can graduate. The program creates environment for entrepreneurial success by providing living laboratory, extension of operational and funding support, institutionalizing the synergy between classroom learning and after-class-hours of hands-on in business incubation, and learning from the expertise of the network of business gurus.
The Entrepreneurship program offers to seed the Bicol Region and the globe with new breed of Entrepreneurs who will make use of and provide value added to the abundant Bicol resources. At the same time, it also fosters relationships with other academic programs, within and outside the Ateneo de Naga University, seeking to provide entrepreneurial education and opportunity outside the traditional business curriculum.
BS in Entrepreneurship major in Entrepreneurial Tourism
The offering of BS Entrepreneurship with major in Entrepreneurial Tourism is primarily conceived to revitalize and enhance the BS Entrepreneurship program because of the thriving and flourishing tourism in Bicol and the strong support of government to Tourism industry, which then promised opportunities in Entrepreneurship. With the province of Camarines Sur having identified and developed new Tourism spots, the BS Entrepreneurship with major in Entrepreneurial Tourism will make the program more attractive and competitive, especially for those who would like to make business out of Tourism.
BS in Business Administration Major in Legal Management
The Legal Management program is a 4-year business management course designed to create business leaders and entrepreneurs with solid foundation of the legal environment within which all enterprises must operate. The program, which combines business and legal management with strong liberal arts component, intends to provide the business communities in the Bicol Region and elsewhere with socially responsible professionals.
The Commercial, Labor, Civil, Administrative and Criminal Law subjects provide intensive grounding to students who intend to become lawyers as the program is designed as a preparatory law course. The Practicum/On-the-Job Training component of the course provides students actual exposure in legal administration in law firms and offices.
Business Management Courses
BS in Business Administration Major in Banking and Finance
The Banking and Finance is a 4-year course program designed to develop competent bank and financial managers of financial institutions both in domestic and international enterprises to serve the needs of the banking and financing industry and to support the creation and growth of import-export businesses in the Bicol Region and the country. The program trains professionals in import-export management, supply chain management, investment banking, mutual funds management, micro-financing, insurance, corporate finance, and capital markets as well as consulting and security programs.
BS in Business Administration Major in Management
The Management program is a 4-year course designed towards developing students to become successful business leaders in global world either as managers or entrepreneurs. The course provides the students an opportunity to discover and rediscover management concepts and techniques and deepen the students’ discovery of the various business opportunities in Bicol Region. It allows students to interact and learn from business leaders doing business within and outside the region. It offers students the opportunity to acquire knowledge base and functional skills required to meet the complex and varied responsibilities of managers in businesses and other kinds of organizations. The entrepreneurial management component of the program provides graduates with the option to become entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for Bicol Region.
BS in Business Administration Major in Business Management Honors Program
The Business Management Honors Program (BMHP) is a 4-year undergraduate degree program for university scholars designed to help them become creative and successful managers. The course exposes the scholars to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial concepts and practices to prepare them to create, innovate, and discover new opportunities and invigorate new businesses to alleviate Bicolanos from poverty. The course is an applied academic program that requires students to start and manage businesses before they can graduate.
The College of Business and Accountancy, through its entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial management courses, aspires to achieve a world-class reputation for excellence as a living laboratory in the discovery and dissemination of knowledge and practices about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education, and as a catalyst for new business formation in the Bicol Region.
BS in Business Administration Major in Hospital and Home Health Care Management
The Hospital and Home Health Care Management program is an innovative inter-disciplinary 4-year course intended to form professionals who can strategically put up or run hospitals and health care service establishments. This course integrates business and medical practice which is directly linked to the successful marketing and delivery of medical and health care services. Graduates of this course are well-versed with medical terminologies, computerization and standardization of medical records, billing and collection system, pharmacology and drug inventory management, health care systems management, legal aspect of the health care administration, financial management and personnel administration in hospitals and health care services.

The Marketing Management program is a 4-year course designed to create dedicated, trained, skilled and value-oriented marketing professionals, in Bicol Region and elsewhere, who can work in such areas as account management, ads creation and production, media planning and buying, digital marketing, telemarketing, consumer relations management and other marketing services. It is also designed to form entrepreneurs who posses solid underpinning and appreciation of and place value to the innovation and distribution of Bicol creations and products in the domestic and international markets. The extensive hands-on training and comprehensive practicum program gives the students the required experiential skills that are in demand in both traditional and digital economies today.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) is the study of concepts and theories, algorithmic foundations, implementation and application of information and computing solutions. The BSCS program prepares students to be IT professionals and researchers who are proficient in designing and developing computing solutions. After satisfactorily completing all the requirements leading to a BSCS degree, students may qualify for but not limited to the following entry level positions: Applications Developer, Computer Science Instructor, Database Programmer/Designer, Information Security Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Researcher, Systems Developer, and Systems Analyst.
BS in Information Technology (BSIT)
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) is the study of utilization of computers and computer software to plan, install, customize, operate, manage, administer and maintain information technology infrastructure. The BSIT program prepares students to be IT professionals, be well versed on application installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration, and familiar with hardware installation, operation and maintenance. After satisfactorily completing all the requirements leading to a BSIT degree, students may qualify for but not limited to the following entry level positions: Applications Developer, Database Administrator, Entrepreneur in IT Industry, Information Security Administrator, Information Technology Instructor, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, Technical Support Specialist, Test Engineer, Web Administrator/Web Master and Web Developer.

BS in Digital Illustration and Animation
The Bachelor of Science in Digital Illustration and Animation aims to produce professionals in the new emerging field in Digital Illustration and Animation. The Advertising and entertainment sectors are fast moving towards the use of computers and digital technologies produce more attractive advertisement and entertainment products. The business sectors, on the other hand, began to use Internet-based technologies to sell their products, and thus pave the ground for electronic commerce. Multimedia and graphics in particular play an important role in the success of electronic commerce. As more people use the internet service, the greater the demand would be on a new breed of illustrators, animators and graphic layout artists using the new technologies. Potential students of this baccalaureate program will be trained using state of the art facilities provided by the Ateneo de Naga University.

Bachelor of Elementary Education
Bachelor of Elementary Education is a four-year program designed to meet the needs of a professional teachers in the elementary grades who are generalists and who can teach across the different learning areas. The program combines theories and practice in order to teach students the necessary knowledge and skills an elementary grade teacher needs.
Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education
Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education is designed to equip graduates with theories and concepts essential for careers as effective educators of children in kindergarten and early grade school. Integrated in their curriculum are the supervised field study and practice teaching that prepare them for their work as preschool teachers and in nurturing their students’ total development.
Bachelor of Science in Special in Education
Bachelor of Science in Special Education is a four year program that provides graduates the knowledge and supervised practice in their application to children and youth with disabilities. It prepares the graduates to teach students across categories of disabilities including learning, cognitive, emotional and behavioral. Aside from teaching, graduates are equipped with skills on assessment, developing individual education and transition plans, and working with families and other support services.
Bachelor of Secondary Education
Bachelor of Secondary Education is a four-year degree program designed to prepare the students for becoming a secondary school teachers who can teach in one of the different learning areas. The program combines theories and practice in order to teach students the necessary knowledge and skills an elementary grade teacher needs.

Bachelor of Library Information Science is a four-year program that prepare the students to their unique role in gathering, organizing, and coordinating access to the best information sources for the knowledge-based organization they belong, as well as in implementing standards for the ethical and appropriate use of information.
Bachelor in Physical Education
Bachelor of Physical Education is a four-year degree program designed to provide the students with a broadly based understanding of the discipline through theoretical and practical courses in physical education. This program allows maximum opportunity for students to pursue various courses in teaching, coaching, programming and administration and within their particular of areas of interest. It aims to produce graduates who are able to work as Physical Education teachers in the elementary or high schools.

AB in Broadcasting
The program aims to produce specialists in the field amidst the wide spectrum of mass communication discipline. It trains students to become professional media practitioners and community leaders in the industry and society. Aside from being news readers or hosts for radio and TV programs, graduates are expected to become opinion leaders and channels for feedback in the dialogue and interplay of society. Graduates are qualified to start a career in Broadcast Arts (radio, television, and cable television) either as producer/executive producer, line and segment producer, program developers or production writer, researcher/director, production manager. They may also serve in the academe, become research communication educator, media educator, and research director or survey executive for listenership and viewership surveys as well as media impact or effect studies.
AB in Communication
This is a generalist program covering print and broadcast media including other fields of the multi-faceted spectrum of mass communication discipline. Students of this program are expected to become community leaders both in the industry arid society. They will not be merely writers and broadcasters; they will also be sensors of social change as brought about by mass media. Aside from jobs and careers in the print and broadcast media they can also be in the field of advertising and public relations as executive, copywriter, communication and information officer, and web designer/manager and/ or computer graphic artist/animator. They can also serve in the academe and research.
AB in Development Communication
This is a generalist program covering print and broadcast media including the traditional and folk media as alternative to the mass communication discipline. Students in the course are expected to become change agents critically needed in developing countries. The students are trained in packaging development programs to make them understandable to the social and cultural environment of rural communities and societies. Their clientele include the target beneficiaries of the development programs of the government, non-government and civic organizations, pastoral and corporate foundations, and other agencies with bias towards developmental work.
AB in Journalism
This program aims to help students become specialists in such field. Students have special training in writing for the various products of the publishing industry. The journalism major learns various styles, from investigative journalism to editorial and opinion writing; from coffee table book writing to scientific and technical writing; from copy writing to theater and film reviews. Graduates may also serve in the academe, become research communication educator, media educator, and research director or executives for viewership surveys, as well as media impact or effect studies of the print media. With the unprecedented developments in communication and technology, graduates may enter the unexplored world of electronic publishing.

AB in Economics
The program offers students with sound training in the realm of economic theory and tools of economic analysis, as well as social planning and local/national development program implementation. The program is suitable for students interested to pursue careers in development planning, business consultancy, corporate planning, finance, banking and insurance, stock mark analysis, community development, research statistics, government service, or training. Instruction in economic is linked with the Ateneo Social Science Research Center (ASSRC), Economic Development Department (EDD) of the Naga City Government, and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).
AB in Political Science
The program develops critical thinking skills, educates students about Philippine society and the modern world. It prepares students to become political researchers or analysts, lawyers or paralegal staff, teachers, effective government officials or leaders of government agencies. The academic formation is complemented by exposures provided exclusively for Political Science students by the Institute of Politics (IP) of the university with other linkages to other socio-political organizations.

In this program, students are trained to enhance their communicative competencies that will enable them to actively participate in the affairs of their respective communities and government, and prepare them for other baccalaureate courses. With the increasing demand for functional English in Business, Sciences, Technology, Humanities and Arts, the program aims to expose students to the nature and function of language and language learning, and provide them with maximum opportunities to use the language in order to excel in the highly competitive world of communications and employment. Equipped with intellectual capital through exposures, student majors will have marketable skills as communicator, diplomat, critic, teacher, call center agents and even as entrepreneurs. The program allows students to address fundamental questions about the nature, function, and value of literature in a comparative context. They read and write about a variety of literary works across periods, genres, and national traditions. It also provides the students the skills and training to investigate traditional and contemporary approaches to literary study, literary theory (both ancient and modern), and the relationship of literature to other branches of arts and sciences. The program commits itself to the pursuit of wisdom. Students majoring in Philosophy are trained to enhance their analysis and critical thinking skills and to be agents of change whose responses are tempered with reasoned actions. The revised course programs include the study of languages to help students understand and interpret better ideas of the great minds that have shaped the civilizations and cultures of the world. It is also needed if one is to engage in Foreign Service and International Relations. The program has three academic tracks, namely: (a) Pre-Law Course, (b) Foreign Service and International Relations, and (c) Teaching and Research.

BS in Psychology
Students majoring in Psychology are trained to develop their skills in psychotherapy and counseling through structured learning experiences. Aside from the regular classroom instruction; the department conducts a specially designed formation program that facilitates the growth and development of each student. More than 80% of its graduates get immediate employment after graduation as school counselors, training officers, human resource development officers, placement and selection officers, special education teachers, and researchers. Graduates also get employment in social community and clinical services, and other industrial/organizational professions. BS in Electronics Engineering (BS EE)
The Electronics and Communications curriculum provides knowledge and skills in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Allied Sciences. The curriculum provides the student with the fundamentals of electronics and communications that will allow the student to be globally competitive in industry or in graduate work and research. The curriculum contains language courses, social sciences, humanities and Jesuit core courses to produce graduates who are wholistic (with spiritural, moral and ethical values and concern of the environment). The curriculum provides the basic knowledge and skills in the field of electronics and communications for the development of the country and of Bikol Region.
BS in Computer Engineering (BSCoe)
The Computer Engineering curriculum provides knowledge and skills in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Allied Sciences. The curriculum provides the student with the principle and methodologies in the analysis, design, implementation of hardware, its underlying software and integration of both. The curriculum also provides the student with the knowledge and skills to meet the scientific technological needs of business; industries and communities in the country and of Bikol Region and to conduct research and development. Bachelor of Engineering Technology major in Computer Engineering Technology (BET-CpET)
is a ladderized four-year program which has been designed to produce students such that after every year finished, a corresponding skill certification will be issued by the University. The curriculum has been developed to prepare the students to take international industry-recognized certifications, particularly the Computing Technology Industry Association A+ (CompTIA A+), CISCO Certified Entry-Level Network Technician (CCENT), CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and CCNA-Security for every year completed. This skills/certification will therefore make them eligible for employment.
Department of Civil Engineering
BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
The curriculum provides the knowledge and application in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Allied Sciences in conjunction with computational tools necessary in the design and construction of civil engineering structures such as bridges, buildings, dams, airports, ports and harbors, highways, tunnels, towers and water distribution system. It also provides knowledge and understanding of the effects and impacts of civil engineering projects on nature and society, and the application of this knowledge in the mitigation and/or solution to technical problems such as flood controls, landslides, air and water pollution, and other natural hazards such as earthquakes and typhoons. The curriculum also provides experience in the conduct of undergraduate research and experimentation and the skills to interpret and analyze experimental data.
The curriculum also contains language courses, social science, humanities and Jesuit core courses to provide graduates who are wholistic (with spiritual, moral and ethical values, and concern to the environment, capable of expressing oneself using the English language). The curriculum also prepares the graduates to engage in life-long learning and keep current of the development in specific fields of specialization such as structural engineering, construction engineering and management, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering and transportation engineering.

BS in Environmental Science
The BS Environmental Management is both relevant and responsive to the pressing need for environmental protection and conservation. This ensures development of expertise essential in addressing the complexities and impacts involved in the interaction of nature, culture, technology and economics. Further, this program provides venue for actual hands-on-experience in environmental research and resource management.
BS in Biology
The BS Biology Program has two tracks: Pure Biology and Minor in Environmental Science. The former has been designed as a competitive preparatory course for medicine and other medical-allied courses. Recently revised, the academic requirements of this track have been strengthened in the areas of Chemistry and Physics to further develop critical and analytical perspectives among students. On the other hand, the latter provides students with necessary knowledge, skills and proper orientation in understanding the natural environment. This second track prepares the students for a wide range of job opportunities such as research, laboratory analysis, and teaching.
