The Institutional Research Ethics Committee (IREC) of Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU) ensures the safeguarding of the welfare of humans, animals, and the environment by reviewing the soundness of the proposed methodologies of ADNU faculty, Graduate, and Law Schools students in the conduct of their research.
A review of the ethical considerations in research is indispensable because it compels the researchers to;
1) Be aware of the responsibility to respect and protect the rights of the participants in the study;
2) Clarify the responsibilities of both researchers and human participants;
3) Promote the responsible care and use of animals in research;
4) Be mindful of the protection of the environment; and
5) Follow relevant government regulations in the conduct of research.

You may request hard copies of the Ethical Clearance or Certificate of Exemption for fifty (50) pesos per page.
External Review Fees
The Ateneo de Naga University Institutional Research Ethics Committee is now accepting applications for research ethics review from non-Ateneo researchers.
