The Mission Statement of the ADNU Graduate School
The Ateneo de Naga Graduate School is committed to provide excellent graduate education for the development of Bikol and the transformation of society.
Inspired by Ignatian magis, it offers relevant academic and formation programs that develop in the students a high degree of professional and leadership competence that is in the service of the faith that does justice. It further promotes significant, rigorous and ethical research for the building of the region and the nation.
The Vision Statement of the ADNU Graduate School
The Ateneo de Naga Graduate School is a premier academic institution in Southern Luzon for professionals.
Through its excellent and relevant academic and formation programs, competent faculty, significant, rigorous and ethical research, strong scholarship and responsive student welfare programs and services, stable industry partners and government and non-government linkages, it develops graduates who are technically competent and values- driven professionals who bring about human development and transformation of society.
Goals and Objectives of ADNU Graduate School
The Graduate School aims to translate the Ateneo’s mission-vision by developing in the students a high degree of competence in both professional and ethical practice, research, and leadership in a particular academic discipline for the development of Bicol and the nation, and the transformation of society.
The Graduate School’s current programs give attention to the formation of the following:
- educators – teachers, administrators, and researchers – who contribute to excellence in education in Bicol and thereby assist in the integral development of the region and the nation;
- business leaders who stimulate and nurture a vibrant and sustainable regional economy, and competent public administrators who manifest a renewed sense of integrity and public accountability;
- nurses, guidance and counseling practitioners, and psychologists who contribute to the improvement of physical, mental, psychological well-being of individuals and communities; and
- computer science, information technology, information systems, and computer graphics and animation experts who contribute to the advancement of the discipline in scientific, business, and creative applications towards meaningful and improved quality of life.
In the long-term, we also aim to offer programs that will produce experts in science and engineering who will contribute to the advancement of science and its practical applications to regional and national development goals. In addition, we aim to offer other programs in the future that will advance our mission and vision.
We are committed to form professionals who are “men and women for others” in whatever fields of endeavor.
We shall achieve these goals by ensuring excellent and relevant instruction and formation; a highly competent and mission-inspired corps of faculty and administrators; responsive and quality student services; timely, regular, and appropriate communication of research through presentations and publications; and meaningful and effective outreach and social involvement activities.
