RELIEF GOODS STORAGE
The university shall provide a storage room that will keep the collected relief goods. It will be maintained by the University Disaster Risk Management Committee and protocols regarding the safekeeping of the goods will be imposed. The CCD will keep an inventory of relief goods being donated and allocated regularly.
PROCEDURES ON RELIEF DONATIONS DRIVE
The donor that will donate the in-kind relief goods will accomplish an acknowledgement receipt form for record purposes. The forms will be in duplicate; one copy for the donor and the other one for the CCD. All donations will be recorded as a standard procedure.
For monetary donations, the university shall use an exclusive bank account for the project. The donations may be deposited directly to bank or the Treasurer’s office. The CCD shall also report the status of donated funds and its allocation during disaster.
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS KIT
As part of the disaster preparedness strategy, the CCD will provide simple Disaster Preparedness Kit as a token for donors in the relief donations drive. The simple kit shall contain 1) whistle 2) Flood/Typhoon/Earthquake Primers and 3) emergency contact numbers. To encourage participation in the relief fund drive, the disaster kit will be simple yet essential tool for preparedness.
DISASTER RISK REDUCTION TRAININGS/SEMINARS
In partnership with the Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan and other DRM organizations such as KABALIKAT and Red Cross, members of the Ateneo Community will be given seminars and trainings regarding Disaster Risk Reduction. These trainings and seminars will include Basic Preparedness Modules, Rescue and others.
RELIEF OPERATIONS
The management and implementation of the Relief Operation will be implemented by the CCD. The office will determine the status of the affected area. Data such as number of affected families, level of destruction, casualties, and emergency response needed shall be assessed prior to relief operations.
During the actual relief operations, the office with the help of volunteers and other offices shall deliver the relief packs to affected areas.
