On August 15, 2026, graduate students from various programs enrolled in thesis and dissertation writing for the 1st semester of AY 2026-2027 attended an orientation facilitated by Dr. Ronald Elicay, Program Director, at the Reading Area, James O’Brien Library.

The orientation focused on the contents and required components of the institutional format for thesis and dissertation of Ateneo de Naga University Graduate School (ADNU GS). Dr. Elicay discussed the essential parts of the manuscript and guided students on how to properly frame and organize their research.

The students were reminded that their research should not only be aligned with their respective academic programs but should also contribute to the research thrusts and priorities of the university. The discussion emphasized the importance of producing research that is academically sound, relevant, and responsive to the needs of the community and the field.

The initiative also provided students with practical guidance in preparing their manuscripts and clarified the process of selecting or nominating their research advisers and panel members. These discussions aimed to help graduate students better understand the requirements and expectations throughout the thesis and dissertation writing process.

Through the orientation, ADNU GS continues to support its graduate students by providing clear guidelines and academic assistance as they undertake their research and complete their graduate studies.
