I am pleased to announce the following new Jesuit assignments for Ateneo de Naga University, as promulgated by our Provincial Superior Fr. Xavier Olin, SJ, during the Easter season.

Fr. Guy Peter V. Guibelondo, SJ, originally from Davao City, was ordained to the priesthood in 1999. He has served as a parish priest at San Miguel Parish in Mabuhay, Zamboanga del Sur; Mary the Queen Parish in San Juan, Metro Manila; and Our Lady Mediatrix of All Graces in Zamboanguita, Bukidnon. He has also worked as a Campus Minister at Xavier School in San Juan.

At Ateneo de Naga, he will serve as the University President’s Assistant for Athletics, with a vision to align sports development across all university units. He will also serve as Assistant Chaplain in Higher Education.

Fr. P. V. Joseph Cin Hau Mang Buan Sing, SJ, from Myanmar, has worked as a Jesuit youth ministry coordinator with extensive international experience in leadership formation, Ignatian spirituality, youth accompaniment, social work, refugee ministry, parish administration, education, and community development across Myanmar, India, Italy, and Europe. He has solid experience in founding and coordinating national and international youth initiatives, teaching in higher education institutions, and accompanying marginalized communities, including refugees, migrants, internally displaced persons (IDPs), slum children, orphans, and the elderly.

At Ateneo de Naga, he will be studying for a master’s degree in education at the Graduate School and serving part-time as Assistant Chaplain for Basic Education. He will be based in the Bagumbayan campus and will assist the BE units as needed, specially in the Senior High School.

Bro. Johnmar T. Monato, SJ, was born and raised in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. Prior to entering the Society of Jesus, he served as a Program Officer of the Cardoner Volunteer Program at Ateneo de Davao University for nearly two years. He then worked as an accountant for the Jesuits in Timor-Leste for another two years. He entered the Society of Jesus in 2021 and professed his First Vows on August 2, 2023.

At Ateneo de Naga, he is assigned to the Junior High School as a faculty member of the Faith Formation Program (formerly Christian Living Education) and as one of the campus ministers. His assignment forms part of his Jesuit formation known as Regency, a period dedicated to apostolic service and mission.

As Fr. Guy, Fr. P.V., and Bro. Johnmar begins their ministry at our University, we invite the entire Ateneo community to extend a warm welcome to them, accompany them with prayers, and support them in their mission of forming men and women for and with others.
