ADNU GS Guidance Office Conducts Enrichment Session

The Graduate School Office in coordination with the Graduate School Guidance Office conducted a webinar entitled “Staying the Course: Adapting, Thriving, and Succeeding in Graduate School” on March 28, 2026 via Google Meet. This webinar aims to provide graduate students with evidence-based tools to manage stress, enhance self-regulation, and maintain motivation despite challenges.

The webinar officially commenced with a welcome message from the Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Malu C. Barcillano and was followed by the talk proper thru the resource speaker Ms. Emma Flor C. Ubalde, a registered guidance counselor, registered psychometrician and a licensed professional teacher.

Ms. Ubalde started the talk by asking the graduate students how they are doing for her to get an idea of the common challenges that the students are experiencing both in academe and personal life. After the brief sharing, Ms. Ubalde quickly transitioned to discussing some common psychological challenges that the graduate students might resonate with and how to overcome these challenges by giving helpful and practical strategies that the students can do.

The students were given allotted time to raise some questions or express their sentiments in an open forum. Before ending the webinar, Ms. Maria Ardelya Delos Santos, one of the Graduate School Guidance Counselors and also the Master of Ceremonies during the webinar, shared the various services that the Graduate School Guidance Office offers which the graduate students can avail.
