The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), also known as the Fulbright Commission in the Philippines, conducted an information session at Ateneo de Naga University on 23 April 2026. The session formed part of a coordinated effort to present US scholarship opportunities to qualified students, professionals, and researchers within the University community.
Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ, University President, opened the program together with Dr. Marshal Q. Murillo, International Programs Officer. Ms. Rochelle Miguel of PAEF led the session and provided a comprehensive overview of the Fulbright Program.

The discussion presented a range of Fulbright opportunities that support graduate study, research, teaching, and professional exchange in the United States. It outlined eligibility requirements, application procedures, and priority areas of study. The session emphasized how these programs can strengthen the academic and professional trajectories of faculty and staff who seek international exposure.
Participants engaged actively during the open forum. They raised questions and received direct responses from the Fulbright team, which clarified key aspects of the application process and program expectations.
This initiative forms part of ADNU’s internationalization efforts. The University continues to create platforms that increase awareness of global opportunities available to faculty and staff. These efforts aim to support professional development, expand career pathways, and deepen the University’s engagement in the global academic community. This activity also received support from the Office of the Vice President for Higher Education.
