AdNU GS Conducts Faculty and Students’ Assembly

The AdNU Graduate School Office conducted a separate assembly for both faculty and students this 2nd semester, SY 2025-2026. The GS Faculty Assembly was held on February 21, 2026, and the Students’ Assembly was held on February 27, 2026, both via Google Meet.

The agenda of these assemblies was to discuss the Guiding Principles for Graduate Program Administration and the Pedagogical Framework to align both the Graduate School faculty and students.

Dr. Ronaldo SP. Elicay, one of the Program Directors of the Graduate School, discussed the background and characteristics of Jesuit Education and its integration into the curriculum of each program, and how it contributes to the overall goal of the school. He emphasized the importance of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP) in shaping the course and the professional relationship between the teachers and students.

He also mentioned the Service-Learning Activity, an example of an effective learning activity observed in the AdNU Graduate School that provides opportunities to students to engage and share their skills with the community. He also encouraged the faculty to have this kind of activity more often.

Dr. Elicay also shared different teaching-learning strategies and methods that are utilized by AdNU faculty, which the students, especially those who are also teaching, can learn from and apply or integrate these learnings in instruction delivery.

After the discussion, the faculty and students are allowed to ask questions or clarification during the open forum then it was concluded with a group photo.
