Dr. Vasil Victoria, a faculty member from the Literature and Language Studies Department and the Graduate School, received a commendation from the Naga City Government through Resolution No. 2025-725, last November 17, 2025, for being the best research presenter and author of the best research paper at two international conferences.

Dr. Victoria won the Best Paper Presenter award at the 7th Luminary International Conference, held at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Vietnam, on February 20-22, 2025. Along with Venancio C. Diaño, he presented the paper, Occupational Language Varieties, Narratives, and Experiences of Copra Makers: Basis for Identity Formation and Cultural Education Application.

He also won the Best Research Paper award at the 2nd International Virtual Research Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (IVRCED), held at the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology from October 16 to 18, 2025. He and Nicholson M. Nidea presented the paper, Naratibo sa Pagtitiklad: Paglika at Paglalarawan sa Pagkakakilanlang Calabangueño.

Dr. Victoria continues to be an inspiration to his colleagues and students as he remains one of the dynamic, innovative, and efficient faculty members of the university. Congratulations, Dr. Victoria for bringing pride and honor to our university!
