The Ignatiana University-Wide Outreach 2025 concluded with the successful implementation of four major programs—Tree Planting, Mangrove Planting, Bahay Bayanihan, and Project Salud Feeding—mobilizing the Ateneo de Naga University community in partnership with local schools and barangays. Throughout the five-week outreach, a total of 654 volunteers composed of students, faculty, and staff actively participated, contributing their time and resources to support both environmental sustainability and community development initiatives.
Program Highlights
Project Salud Feeding Program – Provided meals to 1,153 individuals across partner schools and communities. Volunteers also conducted storytelling sessions, interactive lessons, fun games, and distributed school supplies to foster children’s health, learning, and sense of joy.


Tree Planting – Planted 858 tree seedlings in Pacol and Carolina under the Laudato Si’ and Forest in Our Midst programs.


Mangrove Planting – Planted 1,700 mangrove propagules in the coastal barangay of Belen, Calabanga to preserve biodiversity and strengthen coastal defenses.


Bahay Bayanihan Program – Construction of the 37th Bahay Atenista has reached 40% completion, with foundation work and roofing already achieved. The chosen beneficiary is the Aypa Family of Barangay Carigsa, Magarao, endorsed by the local barangay council.


The outcomes of the Ignatiana University-Wide Outreach 2025 underscore Ateneo de Naga University’s continuing commitment to social development, ecological responsibility, and solidarity with partner communities. The active participation of volunteers and local partners ensured that these initiatives not only addressed immediate needs but also contributed to sustainable, long-term benefits.
