This morning, the Center for Community Development (CCD), in partnership with the Market Enterprise and Promotions Office of Naga City (MEPO) and the Magarao Multi-Purpose Cooperative, officially launched the Agrinista Programs at the Eight Pillars.
The program began with an opening message from Mr. Elmer T. Sto. Domingo, Jr., CCD Director, followed by welcome remarks from Dr. Alfredo C. Fabay, OIC and Director of the Quality Assurance Office. Our program partners—Mr. Ramon J. Florendo, Market Enterprise and Promotions Officer I, and Ms. Doris Y. Seña, Manager of the Magarao Multi-Purpose Cooperative, also delivered messages that emphasized the value of agricultural products sourced directly from the hard work of our local farmers. They expressed gratitude to the Ateneo community for its support and hope that this initiative will continue to grow.
The Agrinista market was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting, followed by a solemn blessing led by Fr. Celerino Ignacio M. Reyes, S.J.—a reminder that this program is more than just a marketplace; it is a mission rooted in solidarity with our farmers and a celebration of God’s creation. Afterward, Ateneo employees and students eagerly lined up to purchase fresh produce and goods from our partners.
The Agrinista stalls are open until 6:00 PM today and will continue tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Eight Pillars. Kaya ano pang hinahalat nindo, suportahan ta an gusi nin komunidad! Nakabarato ka na, nakatabang ka pa!
