The Commission on Higher Education under Memorandum Number 07, Series of 2024, granted the Ateneo de Naga University another three years of Autonomous Status until September 2027. In the recent CMO, 77 PHEIs have been listed under the Autonomous status grantees, while 15 PHEIs have been listed under the Deregulated status grantees.

As of 2024, ADNU remains as the only Autonomous and Institutionally Accredited University in Bicol.
