20 February 2024 — A book donation ceremony was organized by the Fr. James O’Brien, S.J. Library with the Municipal Public Library of LGU-Bula as part of Ateneo de Naga University’s 25th University Day celebrations.

The occasion event marked the beginning of a special partnership between Ateneo de Naga University and the LGU of Bula, aiming to foster a culture of literacy and knowledge-sharing to improve the quality of education in the municipality by enhancing the competence and reading ability of students and out-of-school youth.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed during the event between Ateneo de Naga University and LGU-Bula. The agreement was represented by Hon. Amelita A. Ibasco, Mayor of LGU-Bula, Hon. Gregorio Pontanal, Municipal Councilor of LGU-Bula, Mr. Wilbur V. Almoneda, Honorary Member of LTCAC LGU Bula, Fr. Roberto E.N. Rivera, S.J., the AdNU President, Mr. Elmer Sto. Domingo, Jr., Director of ADNU Center for Community Development, and Ms. Alma Kay A. Reyes-Abarientos, OIC to the University Library.
