The Ateneo de Naga University-Graduate School (GS) successfully conducted an Enhancement Session on Authentic Assessment using Google Classroom on November 11, 2023 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am at AL212 Computer Laboratory, 2nd Floor, Alingal Building, Ateneo de Naga University for their GS Faculty.
The Enhancement Session aims to allow the participants to get a better understanding of assessing students’ performance with the use of online applications through the Google Classroom. This also includes easier/simpler ways to navigate online applications both by the teachers and students.
Generally, the session walks through the participants on how to fully maximize the use of the said platform.
The session begins with the presence of Dr. Malu C. Barcillano, Dean of the Graduate School, where she delivered an opening message followed by an acknowledgement of the participants.
Mr. Joshua Martinez, the OIC – Dean of the College of Computer Studies and at the same time the Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) of the Computing Systems and Innovations Office of the Ateneo de Naga University, provided insightful guidance on optimizing the use of Google Classroom. He elucidated efficient methods for leveraging the platform’s features to streamline class management and data handling. Additionally, Mr. Martinez delved into topics such as Google add-ons, and explored various Google platforms and apps, including Gspace, GChats, GForms, and Gsheets, shedding light on their practical applications.
The said enhancement session was attended by fourteen (14) participants from the Graduate School faculty.
