The Ateneo de Naga University through the Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG), together with the Graduate School, and in partnership with the Association School of Public Administration in the Philippines, Inc. delightedly opened the Webinar Series on Navigating the Pedagogy of Public Administration in the New Normal with its first session focusing on Instruction entitled “Appropriating Pedagogical Strategies in the Delivery of PMAG Instruction in the New Normal” on September 27, 2023 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm live via AdNU-CLG social media accounts.
The aim of the webinar is for Higher Educational Institutions, specifically those in the field of Public Management, Administration and Governance to continuously discover workable learning strategies in the area of instruction significant in forming agents of development in the country.
The webinar began in the virtual presence of Dr. Alfredo Fabay, Vice President for Higher Education of Ateneo de Naga University, where he delivered a warm and motivational opening message.
Dr. Kristoffer Berse, Dean of the National College of Public Administration and Governance of the University of the Philippines-Diliman discussed the strategies for improving and enhancing the delivery of public administration management and governance curricula of the academic institutions.
The open forum was moderated by Dr. Ma. Filipinas Bana, Chairperson of the Media Studies Department, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Professor of the MPA Program of Ateneo de Naga University-Graduate School, where the virtual space was flooded with thought-provoking questions regarding applied discipline, specialization at the bachelor’s level, the new normal of public administration, and other related topics on navigation and the pedagogy of public administration addressed to Dr. Berse.
On record, the said webinar was attended by almost two thousand combined viewers both on AdNU Center for Local Governance Facebook Page and Ateneo CLG YouTube channel with participants representing various sectors as well as students and faculty members from schools and universities across the country, most especially the ASPAP Officers and Board members.
To conclude the online event, Dr. Michville A. Rivera, President of Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, Inc., delivered his closing message.
The webinar is hosted by Mr. Jakechris Sicad, a Graduate School Student representing the Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration Cluster of Ateneo de Naga University Graduate School.
The webinar was successfully concluded with the assistance of the technical support staff of the James O’Brien Library, Sherwin Perez and Emmanuel Llorin (led by Ms. Edna San Buenaventura, University Librarian).
