On June 30, 2023, the Bicol Region Librarians Council (BRLC) conducted a tree planting activity at San Alfonso, Pacol, Naga City. As advocates for environmental preservation, librarians, student, & staff from CBSUA, UNC, King Thomas Learning Academy, BISCAST, and ADNU came together under the city government program ‘Forest in Our Midst,’ in collaboration with the Center for Community Development and the Environment and Natural Resources Office headed by Engineer Dan Cea.
By combining their passion for books with their dedication to environmental stewardship, these librarians showcased that libraries extend far beyond the walls of their buildings. They displayed the transformative role librarians play in shaping communities and fostering a sustainable future.
