In celebration of the 54th Founding Anniversary of the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), the PEAC had a thanksgiving Mass on November 4, 2022, at ten in the morning which was celebrated by Fr. Roberto E.N. Rivera, SJ, the PEAC Regional Program Director, and concelebrated by Fr. Wilmer Tria, BACS President, at the Christ the King Church, Ateneo de Naga University. The Mass was streamed live on the PEAC’s official Facebook page.
The PEAC is constituted to serve as trustee of the Fund Assistance to Private Education (FAPE), a permanent and irrevocable trust fund for the programs and assistance to private education, created by Executive Order 156, s. 1968 and amended by Executive Order 150, s. 1994.
As part of the celebration, the 54th anniversary logo was unveiled after the thanksgiving Mass and the social media campaign, “Developing Private Education Together,” looked back at the milestones and contributions of PEAC as a catalyst for private education development as it engaged its stakeholders to be one with the PEAC in its vision for private education in the country.
The thanksgiving Mass was attended by Ms. Doris F. Ferrer, the PEAC executive director, and her team from the National Secretariat, private school officials, junior and senior high schools’ student-recipients, certifiers, trainers, and program monitors of Region 5.
Dr. Arnulfo Aaron R. Reganit, the PEAC Regional Program Coordinator, organized the celebration with the help of Mr. Gerardo Matos, Ms. Azenith Santorce, Mr. Jon-jon Elicay, Ms. Evelyn Amaro, and her staff.
