The Ateneo de Naga University’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA) has published the newest website dedicated to showcase the roster of recognized college student organizations, including the student government, publications and culture and arts groups. The site is up and available for viewing through this link: tinyurl.com/AdnuStudentOrgs.
The AdNU Student Organizations’ Site was then launched to the university community through a promotional podcast entitled “Adnu Ginagawa Niyo” or simply Adnu G?, held on September 12 and 13, 2022. The title was coined as a common expression that asks the Atenean organizations about what they are for and what they do.
For two consecutive days, a mix of volunteer and extracurricular organization representatives were invited as guests to the podcast. Hosted by a trio of student volunteers Jhon Rei Del Mundo, Tyron Dale Plandes, and Aron John Tres Reyes, dubbed as the “Tres Kantos,” the first day of the promotional podcast introduced the Remontados Debate Society (REMON), Chaplaincy Student Volunteers (CSV), Teatro Aliento de Ateneo (TADA), Ateneo Film Society (AFS), Ateneo Dance Club (ADC), and the student council, AdNU Supreme Student Government (SSG). On the second day of the podcast, another batch of organizations were able to promote themselves: the Ateneo College Red Cross Youth (ACRCY), Gabay Scholar’s Organization (GABAY), Center for Community Development Volunteers (CCD Voltz), Campus Ministry Student Volunteers (CMSV), Peer Coaches, Student and Kaabay Volunteers (PCSKV), Christ’s Youth in Action (CYA), and the Rotaract Club of Ateneo de Naga (RAC-ADNU).
AdNU G was live-streamed on the OSA’s Facebook account, reaching over 1,500 views for both videos in total. Aside from the common questions on their major activities and recruitment plans, the conversation with the student leaders was made even more exciting through fun segments such as “Sagot o Lagot”, where guests were able to share their personal experiences, from friendships created and sacrifices made, as members of their respective organizations.
Aside from getting to know the organizations through their members, highlighted on the 2-day live was the Student Orgs’ Site. The site’s promotional video played during the stream can be seen on the ADNU OSA Youtube Channel, or through this link: https://youtu.be/SWG2Z_AnJxg.
The website contains the roster of duly recognized student organizations for the current school year, sorted into Co-curricular, Extracurricular, and Volunteer categories. Aside from this, the site includes other organized groups within the University, like the student council, publications, and culture and arts groups. Relevant information about the groups – from their logo, mandate, activities, and contact details, to their active social media accounts – are also collated and linked in the site.
The said site, as well as the promotional podcast, aim to aid the University Community, especially the students, in getting to know the different OSA-recognized organizations, and with this, help in building a rapport between the groups and in maintaining their connection to all the members of the university.
