As part of Project DIGDI-STEER, Ateneo de Naga University and Ateneo de Manila University AIC team collaborated to conduct a Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) technologies workshop to the residents of Panicuason, Naga City. The activity aimed to introduce the DRR technologies which will be incorporated in the DIGDI houses to the beneficiaries, and also to the community, including Barangay officials and Panicuason Elementary School teachers.
The DIGDI house technologies include a clean water system, built-in rainwater catchment facility, aquaponics system, solar-powered radio communication system, domestic liquid waste-treatment system, Mobile Cloud technology, and communal cooking area with a water heater.
The ADMU AIC Project STEER team and ADNU Project DIGDI Team, together with other partners, are working together to revitalize the social housing landscape in the Philippines through the Proposed 3-unit DIGDI House to be constructed in Zone 3, Panicuason, Naga City.
