Gavat 95 — the Ateneo de Naga High School Batch 1995 silver jubilarians launched E-Ribanan, an online reunion of remembering and reconnecting, through Zoom on 5 December 2020. With the springboard theme Growing Up in the 60s and 70s, the online program had two main sharers: Jorge Palma of HS Batch 70, from the Golden Jubilarians, and Ramon Nonito Ayo from HS Batch 74. Due to the current safety & health protocols, E-Ribanan serves to lead towards the virtual homecoming on December 30th, where “sharers” have been invited to reconnect with fellow alumni/nae across generations.

Noli Ayo and Karl Llorin, the hosts of the forum both from Gavat 95, emphasized the main purpose on E-Ribanan, which is to highlight years spent in the Ateneo and how their stay guided them on the path leading to where they are now. “The E-Ribinan is all about who we were in Ateneo and how it helped us be where we all are now,” said Ayo.

Jorge Palma shared that his life of service was guided by the Four Pillars — to do one’s best, to love others, to fight for our rights, and to be vigilant. Noni Ayo imparted his wisdom in being with others by going the extra mile, giving second chances, and being compassionate, as he experienced and felt these during his stay at the Ateneo.

The evening brought back memories of unforgettable moments, the teachers and Jesuits, the lessons and values — with one common denominator: the Ateneo education. Those who were in attendance were Jojo De Jesus of HS67, Paul De Quiros and Gene Jaucian of HS70, Nonoy Borja of HS74, Jericho Orlina of College 87, Noel Salvan, Jonathan Laguidao, Ato Ruiz of HS 95 and Batch President, with the special presence of Fr. Robert Rivera, S.J., University President.

The next E-Ribanan will be on December 12, 13, 19, and 26. All Ateneo de Naga alumni from high school and college are invited to register for the next E-Ribanan by going to these links:
