Dr. Malu C. Barcillano, Director of the Ateneo de Naga University-Center for Local Governance was invited by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Region V to share her technical expertise as one of the trainers on Quality Assurance System (QAS) for Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan and Localization of Comprehensive Emergency Program for Children. Specifically, she was requested to handle the Session on Quality Assurance System (QAS) in the morning of August 24, 2020 for its 1st Batch via ZOOM Cloud Meetings. The invitation was done thru Atty. Anthony Nuyda, Regional Director of DILG Region 5.
The said activity was done by DILG-Regional Office to strengthen the capacity of the Local Government Units (LGUs) in terms of building resilience to climate change and disasters.
The Ateneo de Naga University thru the Center for Local Governance is a Local Resource Institute (LRI) accredited by the Local Governance Training and Research Institute-Philippine Network of the Local Government Academy and is currently serving as the Vice-President of Luzon (LoGoTRI-PhilNET).
