AdNU-CLG Continues COVID-19 Webinar series

In continuation of its special webinar series focusing on COVID-19 related topics, the Ateneo de Naga University – Center for Local Governance in coordination with the Ateneo de Naga University Graduate School-Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Master in Public Administration (MPA) Cluster and in partnership with the Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, Inc. (ASPAP, Inc.) and with the Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) launched a webinar entitled “Tara, Mag Tik-TALK Tayo: Bayanihan of LGUs against COVID-19 Pandemic” last June 5, 2020.

In the spirit of public service, it is our best interest to promote good governance by continuing to educate our viewers through this online lecture true to the scope of our theme with a topic highlighting the shared practices and initiatives of Local Government Units (LGUs) across the country in our battle against this pandemic we call COVID-19.

To give substance to the theme representing Legazpi City and Naga City respectively, Engr. Miladee N. Azur, Head of DRRMO, and Mr. Renne F. Gumba, Commander of Incident Management Team, clearly presented efforts, initiatives and necessarily measures they are continuously adapting in normalizing the ‘new normal’.

To further facilitate this platform of shared learning, Mr. Ederson Delos Trino Tapia, Vice-President of PSPA, Asst. Prof. Michville A. Rivera, Board Member of ASPAP, Inc., and Dr. Marshal Q. Murillo, Faculty of MPA-AdNU Graduate School, served as reactors who shared their reflections and insights on the presentation made by the speakers.

For the online open forum, it was facilitated by the moderator, Dr. Malu C. Barcillano, Director of Center for Local Governance, with questions sent through Facebook and YouTube live chat which were addressed to our two speakers.

The said webinar was participated by more than a thousand combined number of registered participants and other viewers coming from PSPA and ASPAP, Inc. members and other academic institutions, government sector, private and public entities who have a live access of the webinar via YouTube and Facebook streaming.

The live streaming component of the webinar was made possible through the collaborative assistance of the technical support team composed of Mr. Sherwin B. Perez and Mr. Emmanuel P. Llorin of the James J. O’Brien, S.J. Library (headed by the University Librarian, Ms. Edna M. Buenaventura), Mr. Christian Edward E. Baranda, Custodian of Bro. Richard Michael Fernando, S.J.
