The Ateneo de Naga University – Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG) in collaboration with the Offcie of Student Affairs (OSA) and the Supreme Student Government (SSG) participated in this school year’s first semester Alternative Class Program (ACP) entitled “Youth ka? Ano ang kaya mong Maheras?: LGU Naga City’s thrust on Youth Participation in Local Governance” at the CLG Training Room, Fr. Juan R. Sanz, S.J. Hall on October 18, 2019.
This forum seeks to inform the participants, mainly the youth on the LGU Naga City’s thrust focused on the youth participation in local governance. In addition, this also provides information on how the youth can actively serve in nation-building through youth programs and projects that will develop their potentials and enable them to be of great service to their country and community.
The speaker, Hon. Mary Kyle Francine B. Tripulca presented important details about the SK Federation of Naga City as well as major insights to the activities that are done strengthen the youth involvement in promoting good governance.. There were also a presentation of the Budget Allocation to the different projects they implement.
At the end of the forum, the participants gain essential knowledge on the projects of the Sangguniang Kabataan. Further, the participants acquire different ways on how they can participate on local governance.
