The World Bank Group in coordination with the Ateneo de Naga University through the Knowledge for Development Community (KDC) and the Center for Local Governance observes the End Poverty on 17 October 2019 at the Instructional Media Center.
The program was hosted via live streaming by World Bank head office in Manila together with the following presentations: 1.)Philippines Poverty & Equity Brief by Sharon Faye Piza, Economist, 2.) 2017 Assessment of the Pantawid Pamilya by Pablo Acosta, Lead Author and Human Development Program Leader for Brazil and 3.) Identifying the Vulnerable to Poverty from Natural Disasters: The Case of Typhoons in the Philippines by Hiro Kawasoe, Junior Professional Officer.
After which, participating universities and groups, namely Central Philippine University, University of Los Baños and Ateneo de Naga University, and the House of Representatives were each given ample time for their queries during the round of questions portion of the program to which all of the presenters were able to express their insightful views and ideas via live streaming broadcast the participants.
Joining this event as our audience from the Ateneo community are college, MPA and MBA students, faculty and staff as well as representatives from the Office of the Congressman of the 3rd District of Camarines Sur.
