The Ateneo de Naga University College of Law Moot Court Team bags the 2nd Place at the recently held International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition at the University of Cebu.

The 2nd University of Cebu-Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (UC-KAS) International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition kicked off last September 24, 2019 at the University of Cebu Banilad Campus, Cebu City. The ADNU-COL Moot Court Team battled with teams from University of San Juan Recoletos, University of Santo Tomas Manila, University of St. La Salle, University of the Cordilleras, and University of Cebu, and Jose Maria College. The moot problem in this event focused on “ocean conservation, plastic pollution and incineration and State responsibility.”

The Moot Court Team also won the Best Memorial for Respondent and Overall 2nd Best Memorial. Ms. Sharmie Abalayan was also awarded as the 4th Best Oralist for the Preliminary Rounds.
