The School Based Disaster Risk Reduction Management Group (SBDRRMG), assisted by Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), once again held a 5-day First Aid and Basic Life Support with Basic Rescue Technique Training last 22-26 October at the Nursing Amphitheater, Santos Hall, Ateneo de Naga University. The event was attended by thirty faculty and staff from Ateneo Child Learning Center, Grade School, Junior High School Department, Senior High School Department, Ateneo Personnel, and Administrative Services-Bonoan Campus.

The activity trained the participants how to respond during natural calamities such as flooding, earthquakes, and other emergencies. The Bicol Medical Center-Health Emergency Management Staff and Naga City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office sent registered nurses and licensed first-aiders to train the participants.

The participants learned the basics of first aid, life support, bandaging, splinting, and even rappelling. Simulation exercises were also conducted to further augment the learnings of the participants.
