The Ignaciana Outreach Activity this year was attended by not less than a thousand students, faculty, staff, and administrators of the University. The activity was held last July 28 in the partner areas of the university in the towns of Canaman, Magarao, and Milaor as well in Calabanga and Del Rosario, Pili.

The outreach activities for this year are Community Merienda, Tree Planting, Bahay Bayanihan, Mangrove Planting, Coastal Clean-up, as well as Community Outreach with Indigenous People, and Outreach in Naga City District Jail. Other organizations also conducted their outreach activities in their selected areas. All of these were coordinated by the Center for Community Development, in collaboration with the University Social Involvement Council.

Outreach participants pushed through with their activities despite the muddy and slippery outreach areas brought about by heavy monsoon rains days before the activity. The increase in number of participants was also observed due to the participation of other colleges and organizations such as College of Law, Senior High School, Grade School, and the Graduate School.

In an interview with CCD News, CCD director Elmer Sto. Domingo, Jr. reminded the organizations who joined the activity to submit their documentation requirements which should be submitted to the center on or before August 6. Failure to submit on the deadline means non-inclusion to the next outreach activity.

The university-wide Ignaciana Outreach Activity is held yearly and is considered one of the biggest celebrations of the university.
