Renaming of HE Building to Fr. Juan R. Sanz, S.J. Building

The former “Home Economics (HE) Building” of Ateneo de Naga University has been officially renamed to “Fr. Juan R. Sanz, S.J, Building on July 27, 2018. In line with the renaming of the building, a short program was held at the lobby of the former HE Building. The said activity was initiated by the building occupants, namely, Center for Local Governance (CLG), Ateneo Teacher Training Center (ATTC) and the Ateneo Child Learning Center (ACLC).

The program started at three thirty (3:30pm) in the afternoon. An opening message was given by Dr. Malu Barcillano, the Director of Center for Local Governance (CLG).

It was followed by a testimonial on Fr. Sanz by Hon. Gregorio R. Abonal, Councilor of Naga City and a former high school principal of Ateneo de Naga University. He shared stories about him that reflects his joyful and positive character and his contributions to the Ateneo de Naga community including his personal encounter with him.

After the testimonial, a portrait of Fr. Sanz was unveiled by the University President of Ateneo de Naga University, Fr. Roberto Exequiel Rivera, S.J., and Hon. Gregorio Abonal. Fr. Rivera then gave the closing message. Afterwards, merienda was served at the CLG Training Room.

The activity was attended by the Administrators and Unit Heads of the University.
