The Bicol Universities and Colleges Athletic League (BUCAL) formally opened its 2nd Season on 30 June 2018 at the Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU).

The program started with a Eucharistic Celebration held at the ADNU’s Christ the King Church, which was presided by Fr. Roberto E. N. Rivera, SJ, ADNU President and Fr. Danilo Imperial, Academic Vice President of University of Nueva Caceres.

After the Mass, the opening ceremony was held at the ADNU Gymnasium. Fr. Rivera and Engr. Mario Villanueva (BUCAL and NCF President), and Hon. Nelson Legacion (Naga City Vice-Mayor) gave their warm welcome and words of inspiration.

Kiefer Ravena, former ADMU Blue Eagles and NLEX Guard of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), was also present to give a talk on sportsmanship.
