The Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG) conducted a discussion titled “What you need to know about Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law” on 27 February 2018 at the CLG Training Room. The talk focused on implementation of the new policy on government taxes.
Atty. Edward V. Florin, Faculty of the College of Law and College of Business and Accountancy, served as the Resource Speaker. He discussed the salient features and gave concrete examples and observations with regards to the immediate effects of TRAIN to ordinary citizens. Through his presentation, the participants were able to have basic understanding on the provisions of the said law.
The participants actively participated in the discussion and their questions were answered well by the resource speaker. Mr. Jay P. Abawag, Staff of the Center for Local Governance, closed the activity by giving a certificate of appreciation.
The activity was part of the Alternative Class Program organized by Ateneo de Naga University – Supreme Student Government (AdNU-SSG), a semestral activity for the students of Ateneo de Naga University.
