The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) conducted an orientation talk on external development opportunities on July 23, 2017 at the Instructional Media Center.
The OSA presented to students the various national and international formation opportunities being offered by reputable organizations outside the school, and the support services that the University provides to school nominees and representatives.
Among these are the regular national searches and competitions such as the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP), Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines, (JRMSP) and Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC); and government-sponsored/processed events such as the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO), National Youth Parliament (NYP), Japan East-Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS), and Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP).
Leciel Ramos, a former student leader, social entrepreneur, and SSEAYP delegate, shared her experiences and insights on the impact of such programs on her personal and professional development. She encouraged students to avail of the said external programs for greater self-awareness, establishment of linkages and networks, and opportunities to serve not only their respective organizations but also the communities outside the Ateneo.
