The Ateneo Teacher Training Center (ATTC), the first accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider for Professional Teachers by the Professional Regulation Commission, has been steadfast to the call of the Department of Education and of the Commission on Higher Education of providing support in the implementation of the Senior High School Program. With this, the Center sponsored a three-day Intensive Training on Teaching Basic Calculus on 24-26 April 2017 at the Arrupe Convention Hall in order to upgrade the senior high school teachers of public and private colleges and universities in the Region with the necessary content and pedagogical knowledge in teaching the subject.
There were 47 teacher-participants who completed the 24 hours training, thus they were awarded with 15 CPD credits by the Professional Regulation Commission.
In the welcome remarks, Dr. Arnulfo Aaron R. Reganit, ATTC Director, commended the participants for spending time from their very busy summer schedule to be retooled on the most complex subject, Basic Calculus. Furthermore, he invited them and their colleagues to attend to the upcoming national seminar-workshops in June up to December.
To be able to achieve the training objectives, two equally competent trainers were invited. They were: Tita S. Natividad and Cresencia C. Laguerta.
At the conclusion of the training, participants were asked to give their impressions. Some of the impressions were:

The seminar-workshop was funded by the Commission on Higher Education through the CHED K to 12 Transition Program Management Unit.
