Ensuring the viability of private of private education as a key partner of the government in the delivery of quality basic education, the Ateneo Teacher Training Center (ATTC) hosted a one-day Orientation on the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private (GASTPE) Program last 22 June 2016 at the Multiple-Purpose Hall, Fr James O’Brien Library.
The event encouraged and guided the non-ESC schools to participate on the programs of GASTPE namely, the Education Contracting Service (ESC) and the Teacher Salary Subsidy (TSS).
The participants were warmly welcomed by Fr Primitivo Viray, Jr, SJ — FAPE Regional Program Director.
The first part of the event was a walkthrough of the participants to the policies and guidelines on the GASTPE implementation. After which, two certifiers: Gerry Brizuela and Clara de Hitta shared their expertise in the certification process.
Twenty seven administrators and representatives from seventeen non-ESC participating schools from all over the region attended the conference.
