Nelson Emmanual Velasco, Jr, a graduate of the College of Education, took the tenth national spot in secondary education. AdNU is also in the list of top ten performing schools in the September 2015 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Out of the 57 examinees, 47 were successful, reaping a passing rate of 82.46% for elementary level; while 126 out of the 163 takers passed the secondary elementary level, giving ADNU a passing percentage of 77.30%.
Moreover, the 2015 graduates of the College of Education obtained 100% passing percentage in all fields of specialization in the secondary education such as English, Math, Physics, Filipino, Bio-Chem, and Values Education. On the other hand, the BEEd graduates garnered 90.50%, and 93.33 and 94.11 passing percentage for ECEd and SpEd, respectively.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) released on Monday, 30 November 2015, the list of 21,461 elementary teachers out of 68,442 examinees (31.36%) and 34,010 secondary teachers out of 81,463 examinees (41.75%) who took the LET administered last 27 September in Hong Kong and 26 testing centers across the Philippines.
Last year, Ateneo College of Education had three national placers and was commended as one the top performing schools in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) from 2009 to 2014.
