The Ateneo de Naga University-Center for Local Governance conducted the Training on Technology of Participation Level 1 (ToP1): Basic Group Facilitation Methods on 13-14 July 2015 at the CLG Training Room.
ToP 1 has been proven and a tested way of generating participation in any group dynamics. It has been extensively utilized in many programs and activities implemented under the USAID funded Governance and Local Democracy (GOLD) Project. Since then, ToP has been successfully applied in generating participation from stakeholders in various ways for different objectives. Further, the said training is useful to the attainment of the group consensus on important issues or targets or when consultation or proposals with stakeholders (e.g. Round table discussion, workshops etc.) are desired or mandated.
During the training, the participants were introduced to the three (3) Basic Group Facilitation techniques, namely: Basic Discussion, Workshop, and Action Planning.
The participants were coming from the Master in Public Administration Program, Ateneo Faculty Club, Ateneo Personnel Club, High School Faculty and Staff Club, Economics Society, and Liga ng mga Estudyante ng Agham Pampulitika (LEAP).
The Trainers were Dr. Malu C. Barcillano and Dr. Alfredo C. Fabay.
