CLG Conducts Training on Skills Enhancement of Human Resource Management Practitioners

The Center for Local Governance conducted the Training on Skills Enhancement of Human Resource Management Practitioners in Camarines Sur on 25-26 June 2015. The event was held at the CLG Training Room and attended by participants coming from the Local Government Units (LGU) of San Fernando, Milaor, San Jose, Naga City, Baao, and the NICC Doctors Hospital. The training aimed to enhance the skills of the Human Resource Management Practitioners specifically in dealing with difficult people.

Dr. Tita A. Go of the Center for Psychological Services served as trainer. She presented topics on Self-Awareness before discussing the topic on dealing with difficult people. CLG also invited resource speakers from the Provincial Offices of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to discuss some HR matters in the government service. Josephine G. Dellosa, the Senior Human Resource Specialist of the CSC Camarines Sur Field Office, presented the importance of HRM Practitioners and their role as traffic corps in their own organizations. On the other hand, Arnel Renato Madrideo, the Provincial Director of DILG Camarines Sur, presented the legal bases of HRM Practitioners in the LGUs for them to efficiently implement the HR policies in their respective localities.

The participants expressed significant relevance of the training to their work that is truly worth sharing and implementing when they get back to their workplaces.
