The mass training aimed to (1) provide teacher-participants with a concrete understanding of the basic knowledge of the Grade 10 curriculum, learning standards and competencies, assessment, and teaching plans; (2) provide them with the opportunities to acquire and demonstrate the cognitive and affective competencies they need in the effective implementation of the Grade 10 curriculum; and (3) ensure that they are properly equipped with the capabilities to perform various tasks in the effective delivery of the curriculum as facilitators of learning.

In the opening ceremonies, Fr. Primitivo E. Viray, Jr, SJ, University President, assured the Department of Education of the University’s commitment to assist public school teachers. In response, Dr. Emma I. Cornejo, City schools superintendent of Naga, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Regional Director to AdNU for the school’s continued support to the Department.
