3 March 2015 — the AdNU College of Education, in cooperation with Bicol University, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, Bicol Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Naga College Foundation and the University of Nueva Caceres, sponsored a Regional Conference with the theme: School’s LET Performance Management: Best Practices for Optimal Results.
Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Acting Chair of the Board for Professional Teachers of the Professional Regulation Commission, in her keynote speech discussed the congruence between pre-service teacher education and the Licensure Examination for Teachers. She assured the participants of the responsiveness of the Board for Professional Teachers to the many LET concerns and needs of the teacher training institutions.
On the other hand, Dr. Ronald SP. Elicay, OIC Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, explained the importance of the Outcomes-Based Education in the teacher education programs. He presented a proto-type OBE format which the teacher education institutions in the Region may adopt.
The conference was endorsed by CHED Chair Patricia Licuanan and was attended by 190 participants coming from all the provinces of Region.
