Celebrating Teaching Excellence at COE

To maintain the culture of excellence in the College, a one-day conference with the theme Celebrating Excellence in Teaching, was organized by the College of Education last 10 January 2015 at the Arrupe Convention Hall.

Dr Orfelina O. Tuy, former DepEd Regional Director and now faculty member of the College of Education served as the keynote speaker. Three special guests were also invited in the talk, namely: Anna Bella Abellera, Dr Noel Ibis, and Tessa Nickaela Noora. Ms Abellera and Dr Ibis were awarded as 2014 Outstanding Teachers of the Philippines by the Metrobank Foundation. On the other hand, Miss Noora is the ninth placer in the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers. They are all alumni of the University
The talk show was hosted by Nelson Velasco, BS-BSE Bio-Chemistry 4 and Dessa Macaraig, AB-BSE English 4. The one-day conference was attended by student teachers of Ateneo de Naga University, University of Nueva Caceres, Naga College Foundation, and of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Calabanga Campus.

It was spearheaded by Dr. Jeanette O. Naval, supervisor for student teaching.
