Ateneo de Naga University invites everyone to the first lecture series on Nora Aunor and her stellar contributions to Philippine Cinema on 6 October 2014. Dr. Patrick D. Flores, art studies scholar and curator of the Vargas Museum of the University of the Philippines, will deliver the keynote address. Other discussants include Bikol writer and cultural worker Frank V. Penones Jr., together with Ateneo professors Adrian Remodo, Dennis Gonzaga, Rico Raquitoco, and film critic Tito Valiente, who is a member of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Filipino. Kristian Sendon Cordero is the convenor of this conference. The conference is an initiative of Ateneo Center for Arts and Culture, the Institute of Bikol History and Culture, in cooperation with Media Studies Department. Aside from lectures, there will also be performances and film screenings. Program starts at 8AM. The public is invited to attend.
