Book Launch of “A Jesuit Safari: Essays and Interviews on Fr. James J. O’Brien, S.J.”

The Ateneo de Naga University through the James O’Brien Library, in partnership with the Tulong Dunong Foundation, will launch a book A Jesuit Safari: Essays and Interviews on Fr. James J. O’Brien on Saturday, 13 September 2014, 10:00 a.m., at the ground floor of James O’ Brien Library.

This book is a collection of anecdotes and reflections shared by individuals who fondly remember Fr. James J. O’Brien, S.J., a beloved priest, coach, and teacher. Fr. James was the founder of the AdNU high school magazine An Maogmang Lugar, and edited the book The History and Heritage of the Bikol People. Fr. James O’Brien also began the Tulong Dunong Scholarship program in Ateneo de Manila High School in 1975.

The publication and sale of this book is a fund raising project of the Tulong Dunong batch 1998 for the benefit of the Tulong Dunong Foundation. The three coordinators of the book are Emmanuel Velasco, Aries Espinosa, and Noel del Prado. The program continues through the efforts of the alumni scholars.
