8 July 2014 — members of the Ateneo de Naga University General Alumni Association (AdNUGAA) went to Morada-Ramos Elementary School to donate twelve units of stand fans. The outreach activity was part of the Alumni Office’s Adopt-a-School Program which was formally launched in 2012.
Dr. Jessie Albeus and Lilia Abustan-Belangel served as representatives of the AdNUGAA Board. Together with them were Leopoldo Guillermo V. Mendoza III (OIC, Alumni and International Relations Office [AIRO]) and Guillan Deblois, AIRO Administrative Assistant. The event was also graced by the presence of Rev. Delia Morada Esperida, Marilyn B. Aguilar, EdD (PSDS, Naga East District), Punong Barangay Alice V. Sala, Ernani Suron (Administrator, Naga City School Board), and, Oscar T. Yanzon (OIC-Principal, Morada-Ramos Elementary School).
Morad-Elementary School has six grade levels (with one section each). Each of these grade levels received two stand fans. The school also has two daycare groups, and thanks to the generosity of the alumni and alumnae who responded to Doc Jessie’s call, these two groups were also gifted with one stand fan each. Aside from the fans, toothbrushes and sachets of toothpaste were also donated.
