The Ateneo de Naga Center for Local Governance facilitated the Writeshop Activity for the Joint Migration and Development Initiative – II Project on May 29, 2014 at Ninong’s Hotel, Legazpi City. The activity was participated by representatives coming from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), International Organization on Migration (IOM), Bicol University, Ateneo de Naga University, Associates in Research and Community Empowerment Services (ARCES) Inc., NEDA Regional Office, DILG Regional Office, and the City Government of Naga.

        The workshop activity was facilitated by Dr. Malu C. Barcillano with the assistance from Jay P. Abawag using a design prepared by CLG. Outputs of the activity will be utilized by Ateneo CLG in the preparation of Training Modules needed for the implementation of Training Events for the project.

        The writeshop activity was initiated by the City Government of Naga under the partnership agreement with the project partners under the JMDI-II Bicol Project of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Its main objective is to assist the project partners in coming up with a suitable methodology and topics needed for capacity development through training events for the mainstreaming of Migration and Development in the local arena.
