Canteen Concessionaire Applicants and other Requirements

The Canteen Committee of Ateneo de Naga University High School is now accepting formal business proposals for the canteen needs of the Pacol Campus for S/Y 2014-2015 that will be housed at HS Covered Courts. Last day of Acceptance of Business Proposals will be on April 11, 2014 (12:00 NN) at Pacol Campus.

Interested parties are requested to submit a formal intent and business proposal to the Canteen Committee with the following requirements:

1. Business Profile

  • Nature of Business (single proprietorship, partnership or corporation, cooperative, etc. )
  • Registered name and name of owner/manager,
  • Location/address/phone number of the office,
  • Particular services offered, number of years/months in food/catering business, and other pertinent information

2. Service Record

Record or Listing of Institutions that have been served or being catered to or clients in Naga City – for reference purposes only, if any

3. Proposed/Offered Daily Menu

For meals and snacks items with prices for each viand/item

4. Legal Requirements

Photocopies of Business Permit, Mayor’s permit, DTI Registration, BIR Registration, Fire Safety Clearance/Certificate, Sanitation and Health Certification including those of canteen staff, crew, and handlers

5. Other Clearances

  • Police
  • Court
  • NBI
  • etc

Absence of these requirements, the application/proposal may not be considered. These same requirements are to be used as criteria for pre-selecting the most suitable business proposals for our consideration.

The following information, terms and conditions would help all interested parties come up with a good business proposal.

1. The initial contract period is for one year, SY 2014-2015, subject to renewal upon establishment of a track record of above satisfactory performance.

2. The projected population that will need the services of the canteen is about 1, 500 students and about 100 employees.

3. The target is to have four(4) canteen concessionaires that will operate from 6:30 AM until around 5:30PM, daily, from Monday to Friday of the week.

4. The University shall provide its own table and chairs. Concessionaires may provide for their own subject to the approval of the school( subject to negotiation).

5. The monthly fee for the concessionaire is exclusive of water, electricity, telephone bills and housekeeping services for the common areas.

6.The concessionaire is expected to provide regular food and beverage services for the community which shall consist of quality and hygienically-prepared meals(breakfast and lunch) and snack items for students and employees. Beverage service shall consist of all forms of non-alcoholic and non-carbonated drinks.

7. The concessionaire shall determine the prices of its products being sold, but at affordable prices particularly for the students/consumers.

8. The campus is an environment-friendly campus, as such, Styrofoam and single-use disposable products are not allowed. Reusable dishware(plates, glasses, utensils, etc) is a must for all concessionaires.

9. The concessionaire is expected to provide for housekeeping services in their respective areas, receptacles for segregated wastes, service crew and ensure the cleanliness of all the areas used by the concessionaire. Segregated wastes should be regularly disposed at designated area.

10. For purposes of monitoring the quality, hygiene and affordability of the food as well as the service provided by the concessionaire, and enforcing school regulations on student discipline, dispensing of prohibited drugs and liquor, curfew hours, and similar matters, the concessionaire shall be subject to the visitorial powers of the UNIVERSITY through the High School Canteen Committee. They shall take charge of evaluating the services of the concessionaires and recommending to the administration the renewal, extension or termination of its services.

In order to process well the applications/business proposals, Please take note of the following dates and Schedule of Activities:

April 1, 2014- Issuance of of Invitation to Bid/ Announcement to the Community

April 2 – 11, 2014- Acceptance of Business Proposals

April 11, 2014 – Deadline of Acceptance of Proposals ( 12:00 NN at Pacol Campus)

April 7 – 11, 2014 – Site Visit of Interested Canteen Concessionaires( 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

April 21 – 25, 2014 – Committee Evaluation and Selection of Top 8 Canteen Concessionaires

April 28-29,2014 – Food Tasting of Top 8 Canteen Concessionaires

April 30, 2014 – Committee Meeting

May 2, 2014 – Submission of Committee’s Recommendation

May 5, 2014 – Approval of the President

May 6, 2014 – Announcement of Top 4 Canteen Concessionaires
