The Center for Local Governance in coordination with the Department of Interior and Local Government-Region 5 (DILG-RV) through its issuance of Memorandum Circular has set off the first of its training series on the first quarter of 2020. The Training on Parliamentary Procedure was conducted on 10-11 March 2020 at the Bro Richard Michael Fernando, S.J. Hall, Ateneo de Naga University.
There were 63 barangay officials from the Municipalities of Talisay and Sta. Elena of Camarines Norte who participated the two-day training which are composed of Punong Barangays, Barangay Kagawad, Barangay Secretaries, Barangay Treasurers and Sangguninang Kabataan (SK) Officials.
The trainer, Atty. Vicente Dante P. Adan, and with the assistance of Atty. Jonel B. Ignacio, thoroughly explained during the first day the significance of knowing the Parliamentary Procedure since it is an essential skill to facilitate orderly their assemblies that will be helpful in addressing the day to day transactions in their respective barangays.
On the last day of training, the trainer divided all participants into six groups for a mock session for the trainer’s critiquing wherein the participants were able to get a firsthand experience on the proper procedure of conducting a session.

Next on the Training Courses for 2020 is “Training on Drafting of Resolution and Ordinances” which will be conducted on 24-25 March 2020.
